Keep Calm and Marry On!

Updated: Nov 17, 2020

Here's some ideas for how to Keep Calm and Marry On, despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the social distancing policies that come with it.

For those of you who don't to wait to tie the knot, there's some 'new' ceremony styles that are a great way to go ahead while still respecting social distancing...

The Mini-Mony

Mini-monies are mini-ceremonies. They're different from a traditional ceremony in both size and meaning. They typically include yourselves and up around to ten guests and are the perfect way to honour your original wedding date, while still keeping to the government rules around gatherings and limits.

Elopements

While elopements used to be spur of the moment or unplanned weddings with a dose of secrecy thrown in. Even though the definition of elopement is “running away”, these days they're a romantic and intimate ceremony. They're kept small so the emphasis is focused on the commitment between the two of you.

Elopements are the perfect opportunity to create an authentic true to you ceremony, they're all about you and the location - and I'm happy to help with both!

Your Sequel Wedding

After your Mini-mony or Elopement, carry on with your Sequel Wedding!

This is the original wedding you planned to have prior to our clingy mate Covid turning up. A sequel wedding is about bringing your wedding vision to life - since you've done the official part in a more intimate setting, this one is about the wider celebration with family and friends.

A sequel ceremony looks a lot like any other ceremony, but as you've already undertaken the legal steps, it can be whatever you want it to be!

So, there's some ways you can #keepcalmandmarryon with either a #minimony, #elopement or #sequelwedding!
