About Me
Registered Marriage Celebrant
My name is Anna Flanagan. I’m married to the lovely Paul - that's us up there. We have 6 mostly grown up kids between us, kind of like the Brady Bunch, and we have 6 fur babies.
I have created and delivered over 150 weddings, so I can offer you my expert advice to make your day special, in exactly the ways you want. My style is about exploring what is important to you, and creating an engaging ceremony that reflects the two of you. I don't do boring!

I'm based in Christchurch, but I am happy to travel anywhere in our beautiful Aotearoa!

I'm a registered Independent Marriage and Civil Union Celebrant, and a validated member of Celebrants Aotearoa. That means I belong to the national professional organisation of Celebrants, have passed the association’s Code of Ethics and Professional Standards test and that I'm committed to ongoing professional development with a network of celebrants to call on if needed.
So, uhh.. what happens next?

Send me an enquiry to check I'm available for your date!

-
We'll have a catch up via video call. Ask me whatever you want, and I'll ask you a bunch of questions too! (If you really want to meet in person, that can be arranged!)
-
If we're a good fit, complete my Booking Form and I'll send you an invoice for a deposit to secure your date.
-
I have resources to help with planning, and an online questionnaire for you and your partner to complete. This helps me personalise your ceremony and tell your story, using your language.
-
We'll meet again closer to your wedding to discuss the details, like what you want to include in the ceremony, who are your I Do crew, your witnesses and music line up, and so on.
-
I can help with your vows - whether you want to write your own or just get some inspiration.
-
I'll remind you to apply for your marriage licence, and send to me! The cost for this is currently $150, and isn't included in my fee.
-
I'll lead your rehearsal, either at your venue or elsewhere. We'll run through how the ceremony flows, where everyone stands, ceremony 'choreography', who you want to sit in the front row and so on.
-
On the day, I'll be there nice and early, to help direct guests, calm nerves, check you're both ok.
I'll have your vows printed for you both which serves as a keepsake of your day, your marriage licence printed and a pen to sign!
Then, we'll get you married!

It doesn’t matter if you don’t live in Christchurch or even New Zealand - we can chat over the phone or Google Meet. If you would like me to marry you outside of the Christchurch area, just ask for my travel rates, I would love to be there!

It’s all about the two of you, that’s who I’m here for.
