Crafting Your Perfect Day: An Intentional Wedding Ceremony

2024 is said to be the year of the Intentional Wedding. And whilst everyone plans their wedding day with the intention of getting married, an intentional wedding ceremony is a little more thoughtful than just that.

A good starting point is by questioning everything. I tell all my couples that in true Kiwi fashion, our legal requirements for a marriage in New Zealand are simple. So aside from those, question everything! If you don't agree with, or believe in, or care for a particular 'tradition', don't include it. Simple as that.

I would be thrilled to be a part of your big day as your marriage celebrant. Let's dive into the nitty-gritty of making your wedding ceremony a truly intentional and intimate affair. I'm all about creating a vibe that screams "you guys," and here's some ideas on just how we can make it happen.

Personal Vows: Your Love, Your Words

Vows are like the secret sauce of your wedding ceremony. It's where you spill the beans on your deepest feelings and promises to each other. I'm here to help you craft those perfect words, so they hit all the right emotional chords. Get ready to make your love shine!

Taking a Pause: Breathe it In

Wedding days can be a whirlwind, and I want you to soak it all in. How about kicking off the ceremony with a moment of pause. A chance for you two to take a breath, look around, and let the gravity of the moment sink in. It's like a mini time-out to appreciate the journey that brought you to this awesome day.

Stepping Aside: Your Time to Shine

When it's time for vows and that epic kiss, I'm stepping back. This is your moment, and I'm just the hype person making sure the spotlight is on you two.

No one wants a celebrant stealing the show, right? Your love story is front and centre, and I'm here to make sure it's authentic and straight from the heart.

Wedding Party "Swap": Mix Things Up

Ever thought about a wedding party 'swap'? Picture this: your I Do Crew standing behind your partner during the ceremony. It's a unique way to involve your ride-or-die squad, plus they can help you when you’re getting a bit emotional. It's a win-win that adds a dash of uniqueness to your ceremony.

Strategic Seating: Surrounded by Love

Let's talk seating strategy. I'll make sure your loved ones are strategically placed on the opposite side to you. Why? So you can lock eyes with your biggest cheerleaders during the ceremony. It's all about creating a visual connection with those who've had your back through thick and thin.

Your wedding day is all about you and your love story, and I'm here to help you make it as intentional and unforgettable as possible. Let's team up to create a ceremony that screams "you guys" and leaves everyone in awe.
