Should I have a wedding rehearsal?

You might be wondering whether a wedding rehearsal is worth it. I'm here to tell you that you it definitely is, and here’s why:

Firstly, a wedding rehearsal can help reduce stress on your big day. It's like a dress rehearsal for a show - by going through the motions ahead of time, you and your wedding party can feel more confident and less anxious about what to do and where to be.

Another benefit of a rehearsal is that it helps everyone get the timing right. You don't want anyone walking down the aisle too soon or too late. A rehearsal ensures that everyone knows the timing and what to expect, so there's no awkward pauses or confusion during the ceremony.

We’ll go through the process of making your entrance, timing, where everyone will stand, what do with your flowers, the ceremony choreography of the rings, the vows and signing the register. We’ll chat about who you want in the front row; and iron out any concerns you might have and make sure the ceremony is everything you envisioned.

Having a rehearsal can also help build confidence among your wedding party. When everyone knows what to do and where to be, they can relax and enjoy the ceremony. This confidence shows up in your wedding photos and videos, too, because everyone looks more relaxed and natural.

A wedding rehearsal can be a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. It's a chance to spend time with your loved ones and get excited about the big day.

So, in summary, YES! You should have a wedding rehearsal - it's definitely worth it!

It can help reduce stress, get the timing right, identify any potential issues, build confidence, and have some fun.

As a Celebrant, I always recommend a rehearsal for my couples! It's a small time investment that can make a big difference on your wedding day - go ahead and schedule that rehearsal, you won't regret it!
